I have worked as an international educator and writer over the past 32 years and have lived in Thailand, Vietnam, Romania, India, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Canada, the US and even North Korea. I founded and directed two preschools in Thailand and Vietnam. I write children’s books with the goal of helping children develop global awareness and multi-cultural understanding. My writing is built on my personal experiences from my travels, from teaching in international schools, from working with local teachers in Asia and from raising two children in diverse cultures. I was born in Rochester, New York. I am currently living in northern Thailand with my wonderful husband, who just retired from UNICEF. We have two sons, aged 27 and 31, both born in Thailand. Our eldest son completed his Masters program in organizational development in Washington D.C and runs his own consulting firm called Bivee. Our younger son completed his Masters in clarinet performance at Yale University and runs a NGO called MusAid helping musicians in developing countries. (See www.MusAid.org)

Welcome fellow adventurers!

As they say in Thailand, "Sawat dee!"

Pack your bags and don't forget to toss in a bit of humor and a lot of patience. My home has been without borders for the past thirty plus years while my family and I have moved around the world.

Come join me on my adventures.  I will do my best to share reflections about living in diverse places and what I have learned from the amazing people I have met along the way.

And if you make it to northern Thailand, do drop a line. Maybe we can have a cup of lotus flower tea together.
